Year
after year, NOJEX attracts a wide variety of exhibits which makes the show
enjoyable and educational for those attending. As a way of expressing our appreciation to exhibitors, we
present awards which winners will truly treasure. Awards are presented at the Awards Banquet. THE GRAND AWARD
The
exhibit judged to be the Best in Show receives a beautifully crafted Hummel
figurine with a philatelic theme mounted on a wood base known as The Hummel
Post Coach “The Mail is Here”. THE RESERVE GRAND
AWARD
A Danbury four column desk clock will be presented
for exhibit
judged to be the Second Best in Show. THE SIDNEY SCHNEIDER
MEMORIAL AWARD
This
award is presented to the best exhibit by a North Jersey Federated Stamp Club
member. It is a beautiful brass
replica of an early postal scale mounted on a wood base. And it actually works! SECTIONAL AWARDS
Each
year the NOJEX committee reviews the areas covered by the exhibits in the
show and groups them into sections such as United States, Foreign, etc. The number of sections varies from year to
year depending upon the makeup of the exhibits. The best exhibit in each section is awarded a desk clock. BEST ONE FRAME EXHIBIT AWARD
The
best single frame exhibit in the show earns a specially selected award which
varies from year to year but is always one which will be proudly displayed by
the winner. THE JOSEPH KOCKEISEN MEMORIAL AWARD
The
Joseph Kockeisen Memorial Award goes to the best multi-frame exhibit by a
novice exhibitor. MEDALS
All
multi-frame exhibits are eligible for Gold, Vermeil, Silver, Silver-Bronze,
and Bronze medals. One frame exhibits are also eligible for a Platinum medal
in addition to the other five levels. SOCIETY AWARDS
